Permits in League City

The League City Building Department handles plan review, permits and inspections, with an online permit portal, under the 2021 International Codes, and plans must show the ultimate design wind speed along with TDI requirements. League City is in the state's windstorm area. For homes permitted since October 2018, the lowest floor must sit 24 inches above the highest of the base flood elevation, the nearest street crown or the highest adjacent grade, and at least 3 inches above the 500-year flood.
