Permits in Waller

The City of Waller issues building permits inside the city limits, which cross into Harris County. Outside the city, the Waller County Engineer's office handles development and floodplain permits and the county's Environmental Division handles septic permits, both through MGO Connect, and every lot needs a 911 address before any permit. County rules put homes in the 100-year floodplain at least 2 feet above the 500-year flood elevation. On the Harris County side, the Harris County Engineer's office issues permits.
